2. What information we collect
We keep the data we collect to a minimum:
• Messages you send us – if you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us.
• Analytics data – only if you accept analytics cookies: pages visited, sections viewed, how far you scroll, which buttons and links you click, approximate location (from your IP address), device, browser and operating system.
• Security data – only if you accept: information collected by Google reCAPTCHA to tell humans from bots (such as IP address and browser details).
We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we do not sell personal data.
3. How and why we use it
• To reply to your enquiries and provide our services (legal basis: your request / taking steps before a contract, and our legitimate interests).
• To understand how the website is used and improve it (legal basis: your consent).
• To keep the website secure and prevent abuse (legal basis: your consent, and our legitimate interest in security).

5. Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf or under their own terms:

• Trustpilot – our reviews widget loads from Trustpilot only after you accept cookies; see Trustpilot's privacy policy.
• WhatsApp (Meta) – if you contact us on WhatsApp, your message is handled under WhatsApp's privacy policy.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy arrangements) apply.

This site links to other websites and social networks (such as RememQR, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok). We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
7. How long we keep data
Enquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your request and for reasonable business records afterwards. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics according to the retention period set in our account (we aim to keep this to the shortest practical period).

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
• be told how your data is used, and to access a copy of it;
• have inaccurate data corrected or your data erased;
• restrict or object to our processing;
• withdraw consent at any time (use "Cookie settings" in the footer);
• data portability, where it applies.
To use any of these rights, email hello@akrstudios.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
